payton utilizes...
many mediums but illustration is her first love. as a child, she would sit (usually cross legged) and draw for hours; this continues today.
payton has always found drawing to be a theraputic practice as she believes, "it is a great way to clear the mind."
she credits ralph steadman, charles shultz, and maurice sendak as illustrators who've influenced her style the most. her works have a playful yet realistic feel to them and nature is a constant theme.
